Dr Simon Andrews

Simon has been teaching bioinformatics for over 20 years. He has developed and taught courses in many areas as well as building applications and packages used for data analysis.

Sarah Inglesfield

Dr Sarah Inglesfield

Sequencing, Research Integrity, R, Figure Design

Sarah has a background in wet lab immunology before she moved into bioinformatics. She is an expert in many types of sequencing, both short and long read and works on both bulk and single-cell data. Along with Jo she developed and runs our Research Integrity courses.

Laura Biggins

Laura Biggins

R, Gene Sets, Sequencing

Laura has more than 15 years practical experience of research bioinformatics following her masters training. She is an R expert and teaches many of our R courses including specialised areas such as Shiny and R package development. She also wrote some of the anlaysis tools used in our Gene Set Interpretation course.

Jo Montgomery

Dr Jo Montgomery

Research Integrity, Data Management

Jo is both a PhD research scientist and a QTS qualified teacher. As well as managing our training programme, she also develops and teaches our Research Integrity courses alongside Sarah. She also provides friendly and practical guidance in research data management

Hayley Carr

Dr Hayley Carr

Statistics, Machine Learning

Hayley has a background in cancer biology and immunology. She began her statistical training as part of her PhD and has developed her skills in this area. She teaches both our R and GraphPad based statistics courses as well as our machine learning courses.
